There’s no denying to the fact that Android is an amazing platform but root access open a world of possibilities for getting things our phones do not have by default. Whether you want to theme your device, or clean up bloats, or enable tethering, or improve its performance, or add new features to it, you must root your device first. MWC 2015 brought a number of new devices like the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, HTC One M9 and more. These phones have not been released yet but, as it usually happens, our developers have already started working on gaining root and porting apps and making mods.
When it comes to rooting Samsung devices, the name of Chainfire is the first thing that flashes in our mind. He’s the renowned developer who has given us SuperSU any many other apps. If you got a Samsung Galaxy device, Chainfire got his CF-Auto-Root tool for you! The Galaxy S6 and S6 edge will be available for us by the second week of April. but Chainfire is already here with his tool for both these superphones.
If you plan to buy the Galaxy S6 (SM-G920T) and S6 edge (SM-G925T) from T-Mobile and are addicted to enjoy root privilege, you can sleep with peace under your pillow because you’ll be able to gain root on your brand new phones as soon as you get it. It has all been possible because both the models mentioned above come with unlocked bootloaders.
Chainfire’s CF-Auto-Root tool has been tested the SM-G920T and SM-G925 software build number LRX22G.G920TUVU1AOC9 and LRX22G.G925TUVU1AOC3, respectively. There’re a few things you must know before proceeding: rooting would trip the KNOX warranty void counter, and you might not be able to use the Samsung Pay feature on your device. If you consider these 2 things a small price in lieu of root privilege, you’re welcome to jump below to the procedure.
Root T-Mobile Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge
Download the CF-Root package for your device model from below and unzip it:

TMO Galaxy S6 edge SM-G925T: CF-Auto-Root-zeroltetmo-zeroltetmo-smg925t.zip

Make sure you have installed the latest Samsung USB drivers or Kies on your PC: Download
Enable USB Debugging on your Galaxy S6/S6 edge using this tutorial.
Having taken care of things described above, turn off your phone and boot it into the download Mode by holding the volume Down+Home+Power keys simultaneously for 2-3 seconds. When the warning screen appears, press the volume Up key to get into the download Mode.
Unzip the Odin file, open the folder and launch the program.
Now connect the device to your PC via the USB cable provided by the OEM.
To indicate a proper connection, Odin shows “Added!!” text in its message box. If you don’t see that indication, reinstall the drivers and reconnect the cable.
Now click the AP button on Odin, navigate to the CF-Auto-Root-zerofltetmo-zerofltetmo-smgxxx.tar.md5 file and select it.
Then click the start button on Odin and wait till the installation finishes and your phone reboots.
When your device boots up, you should see an app called SuperSU installed on your device. This shows you have successfully rooted your T-Mobile Galaxy S6 SM-G920T/S6 edge SM-G925T. To verify root access, install the following app and run it.
